Prof Christopher Andrews
MBBS MEngSc PhD JD EDIC

Dr Chris Andrews is qualified in medicine, engineering and law. In medicine, his particular interests are paediatrics, adult medicine and psychiatry, with advanced skin surgery skills. Dr Andrews holds a level II recognition with Medicare in Psychiatry. Chris’s research interests are electrical and lighting injuries and he has a PhD in this area.

Dr Robert Thomas
MBBS dip DHM FAMOM

Dr Bob Thomas M.S.S (QLD) has been a full time GP for more than 42 years. He trained at the University of Queensland & Royal Brisbane Hospital before joining the Royal Australian Navy in 1970 serving on the HMAS Parramatta and HMAS Penguin in Sydney. In the R>A>N he specialised in diving and hyperbaric medicine whist conducting a part time general practice at Neutral Bay, Sydney. In 1974 he returned to Brisbane and commenced general practice at Jindalee and Kenmore before concentrating on the Jindalee practice in 1994. Dr Thomas has been practicing in the centenary suburbs for 42 years and his interests lie in family medical medicine, sports diving, aviation and occupational medicine. Outside of work Bob enjoys boating, camping, fishing and travel

Dr Heena Desai MBBS,FRACGP

Dr Heena Desai (MBBS FRACGP) graduated in 1986. Dr Desai has a Master’s Degree in Anaesthetics and has worked as an Anaesthetist in the UK and Australia. Dr Desai went into general practice in the year 2000 in New Zealand before moving to Brisbane in 2001. Heena provides all conventional general practice services including chronic health issues, immunisation, women’s health and insurance medicals. Dr Desai enjoys reading and listening to inspirational material and travelling.

Dr Collette Sheridan

Dr Collette Sheridan has over 30 years experience as a general practitioner in Queensland and Victoria, having worked for many years in central Queensland as a GP and GP-Obstetrician and, later, in northern Victoria where she combined general practice with an appointment to the University of Melbourne as a medical educator. Since returning to Brisbane, Collette has enjoyed working at Mt Ommaney Family Clinic as a family doctor, caring for a wide range of patients from babies to our most senior citizens. She is passionate about the GP’s role in front line medicine, encouraging good lifestyle habits and preventative medicine. Given her special interest in obstetrics, paediatrics and medical education, Collette is happy to advise on all aspects of women’s health and works part time at both the Mater Mothers’ Hospital and the University of Queensland.

Dr Linda Maloney MBBS (Qld)

Dr Linda Maloney has worked as a general practitioner for over 36 years. After working as a rural locum for many years Linda decided to set up her own practice at Kenmore and since then has joined Mt Ommaney Family Clinic.
